BIOGRAFIA:
Maaike graduated from Studio Herman Teirlinck in Antwerpen in 2005. Her career enjoyed a flying start, with parts in short and feature films including Dennis by Rita, Dirty Mind and Code 37 - the film. In 2019 she performed in All of Us and Yummy. Maaike Neuville is also a well-known television actress, having appeared in successful drama series including Katarakt (Cataract), Van Vlees en Bloed (Of Flesh and Blood), Clan, De Dag and De Twaalf. In 2010 she went behind the camera for the first time and made her first short film Way Back. This led to an invitation to the Talent Campus at the Berlinale. In 2013 she made Sonnet 81, which won several prizes and is still shown at festivals worldwide. She is currently working on her first feature film Is a Woman. She has appeared on stage with various theatre companies, and has been a member of Compagnie Marius since 2009. For KVS she made Op een bankje, op een dag (On a bench one day) with Roy Aernouts in 2020.
